Jodie’s Story 1

Her First Year

Jodie’s Story 1 :::: Jodie’s Story 2
Janee’s Family Photo Album

Jodie was born on 11/5/19, and she came to be our dog on 1/5/20.

In her first short year, she’s done a lot! Here are some pictures of her adventures. Jodie and I will tell her story together.

In this first row of pictures, she didn’t recognize us yet.

Five weeks old. Jodie is the yellow collar girl on the left.
Jodie’s on the right.
In the van just before Susan let her out to meet us
I was deciding which of the 2 girls would be Jodie. This ended up being her!
Her first day home with us.
playing with her new Daddy
Jack made this crate for her under our kitchen island. We sectioned off half, because it was too big. She loved going in there from the start!
She loved that owl. Now, at a year old, she still has it and plays with it often.
First vet visit – 10 weeks
11 weeks
12 weeks. I would put her onto that bench to brush her.
13 weeks — a visitor! This is Michele!
Jodie loves to climb this rock. It’s pretty big.
14 weeks
14 weeks. A trip to Lowe’s. She was a very good girl. Shots are not done yet, so no feet onto any pavement.
15 weeks. Getting a little fuzzy-faced
2/18: First professional grooming!
Fancy hair: don’t care!
Just as soon as her shots were over, we went to Death Valley, and, somehow, this is the only photo I can find of her from that trip.
Now that shots are done, I can go walking with the folks! But I don’t really like to walk yet. I do still enjoy climbing the rock.
Every now and then, I sleep on my bed….
…or beside it.
March 5, 2020, and I’m 4 months old!
I think that my parents are awesome for putting up all those J’s in my honor.
Can you find the dog in this picture?
I do love me some rope!
Almost 5 months old
5 months. Mom just brushed me.
I love to watch the quail. I don’t bark or growl at them, but I’m intrigued by the way they walk.
This is my favorite toy today.
This is Jesus Christ Superstar. I was into this.
Soon after this shot was made, I disemboweled this toy.
Almost as tall as daddy!
He tries to get me to shake hands.
Here we are in the RV again. Here, we were doing a shakedown in the driveway. Different RV.
I rock! I’m very fuzzy here. And I’m 6 months old!
And now I’m beautiful again!
I don’t feel good here, so Daddy’s giving me some ice chips.
Walking in our neighborhood.
I made off with this cloth and Mommy let me keep it.
I LOVE Brandon McMilllan and Lucky Dog!
I’m almost 9 months old.
And we’re back in the RV. We took it to Show Low just to get out of the heat.
Watching the neighbors
On the Show Low trip, I loved the Dog Park! I went every day for a week and had a blast.
I had a tummy thing this day. Mommy gave me some Pepto Bismol and it fixed me right up!
Now I’m 10 months old and we’re on another little RV trip. Different RV again. This time we’re in Picacho Peak RV Park. No other dogs to play with and it’s really hot on my feet, but it’s ok walking very early in the day.
The vet actually complimented my teeth! Mommy brushes them (almost) every day with coconut oil! I love it.
I’m into this program. And chilling with my Dad. Love that.
11 months old! I was getting matted from my puppy coat falling out and so we did this short groom. I like it!
Having a romp in some actual grass at the Bark Park!
I’m not chewing those shoes!
Strolling in the back yard
At work. Mom lets me work with her as long as I stay in my own cubicle.
Walking in the neighborhood.
Saying grace before the second half of my breakfast.
Daddy’s trying to find my toy.
I’m watching out for the cacti!
Checking to see what the neighbors are up to
This is the reindeer toy that Michele brought me when they visited. It’s one of my favorites!
Most of my pictures actually look like this!
I have my Kong!
From my friend Dotti:
“I think the picture strikes the right tone – casual, not too needy, shows off her body without being trashy, a look of interest and mystery.”
Playing a casual game of rope tug
And now I’m one year old!
