A. Use a photo-sharing site

Photo-sharing sites usually either carry a user fee or they subject you and your viewers to ads. I like SmugMug and Kodak Easy Share because there are no ads. flickr's ads are not very obtrusive and the site is free. there are free sites that have really horrible ads. I won't mention those. ;)

JohnD has posted a short but detailed tutorial showing how to set up and use an account with SmugMug. Whether you use SmugMug or another photo-sharing site, you will be using similar procedures.

1. Set up an account.

2. Post your images.

3. Make your Artist's Statements as a caption in your gallery.

4. Copy your gallery's URL

• Go to your gallery. Highlight the URL in the top bar. Be sure that you get the http:// part.
• Ctrl-C on your keyboard. This puts the URL into your computer's clipboard. This is something that you will not see, but it is in your computer's memory. You'll copy that into your classroom in just a minute!
